For these age categories, it's all about development. Coaching focuses on the big four: 1v1, running with the ball, striking, and first touch. Experience-wise, we aim to foster mateship and sportsmanlike qualities. All players are graded into three levels, ensuring a great experience for everyone.

U8-U9 Miniroos
Matches start at varying times on Saturday mornings (or Sunday mornings for all-girls teams). A full 20-fixture schedule is available online via Football Victoria. Games are home and away (local area). Teams are coached by parent volunteers, who are vetted, trained, and must have a Working With Children Check. Training times depend on field space and coach availability, typically once per week at 5 or 6 PM for one hour.
The U8-U9 age category is soft graded:
- Joey (Beginner)
- Wallaby (Intermediate)
- Kangaroo (Advanced)
Teams are rolled over from the previous season with minimal changes. New players are placed based on ability into available spots in the appropriate team level. Higher levels require more commitment and expectations from players and parents.

- 7 v 7
- Goalkeepers
- 2 x 20-minute halves
- Unlimited interchange
- Size 3 ball

Teams are coached by parent volunteers, who are vetted, trained, and must have a Working With Children Check. Training is one to two times a week, starting at 5-6 PM, for 1-1.5 hours.

- Kangaroo (Advanced skill level)
