A Certified B Corp, in 2020 UPPAREL was awarded the National Sustainability Champion award by the Australian Retail Association and most recently received the 2023 Victorian Government Industry Leader Sustainability award. Most recently, UPPAREL has also been certified as a Social Enterprise by the Social Traders.
Our non-chemical process upcycles textile waste converting what would be deemed end-of-life textile waste into a profitable and sustainable resource. Our goal is to replace consumer and commercial products that have traditionally been made from virgin non-sustainable materials, such as polystyrene, fiberglass, and cellulose.
Our entire recycling process from sorting, decommissioning, shredding, and manufacturing into commercial products happens entirely in Australia.
